ICC - We are here

A festive exploration of bodies, ethics, and imagination

La Caldera celebrates its 30th anniversary and, extending the body toward the future, invites and hosts the nomadic project Imaginative Choreographic Center (ICC). An international long-term project focused on processes of imaginative institutionalization in the fields of choreography and dance, led by artists, mediators, and curators Aleksandar Georgiev, Darío Barreto (resident artist at La Caldera 2025), Zhana Pencheva, and Ida Daniel, together with other national and international collaborators invited throughout the process.

ICC – La Caldera 30 Anys proposes a series of situations distributed over six days, aimed at thinking about and sharing practices around ethics, institutions, care, and work from an imaginative, gentle, and speculative perspective. Materials generated will be collected, edited, and experimentally published within Lo otro, La Caldera’s publication line that reveals the intuitions and shared knowledge emerging from the center’s collective practices, situations, and programs.

Through this collaboration, a program unfolds in three segments focused on Bodies of Values, Bodies of Work, and Imaginative Institutions. Together, we will activate practices of co-thinking, co-dreaming, and co-imagining to celebrate La Caldera’s 30th anniversary — a homage to imaginative structures, embodied values, and the fantastic futures of collectivity and dance.
